I laughed throughout the movie. If it was supposed to be scary, I missed it. I thought it was silly & redundant, but the ending was satisfying.

I was super into it for like 2/3rds of the movie then they reveal why the children disappeared and I was like - man that sucks that they had to go that route. When it was a straight up edge of your seat thriller it was gonna crack my top 3 movies of the year. Then the reveal took away my enjoyment.

This is exactly how I felt watching Barbarian.
I thought the reveal of the baddie in Weapons was better.
