It’s southeastern. If he’s really battling a torso Injury and I’m sure he is, then sit him. Let him get ready for Oxford.

I mean why not sit him if he’s hurt. Let him heal and get MVB some reps. It’s southeastern bubba

I haven’t stopped drinking since Jamie Howard threw 20 INTs against Auburn

Easy for fans to say. But he’s not training all year to sit out a game he’s healthy enough to play in. He only has a few left at LSU

MVB needs reps regardless. Even if Nuss starts, MVB should play the 2nd half at minimum.

Play him a bit to keep him in game mode. Hopefully the game is in hand and you can sit him the 2nd half.

haven’t stopped drinking since Jamie Howard threw 20 INTs against Auburn[/quote] I'm 81 and still remember this one. Three of his 5 4th Qtr interceptions were returned for touchdowns. LSU went from a two touchdown lead to a 4 point loss.

If he could use some time to expedite the healing process so he can ball out against Ole Miss he should do it. The way he plays now, no team in the NFL is touching him. He is not a good QB.

Wife threw me out of the house over that until I calmed down.

Is it an exaggerated excuse or is it a real issue for him to play with?

Well Kelly said they've been limiting him and that he would be fully healed after the Mississippi game after the bye week.
I agree with this approach because of the opponents, and it is progressing and healing. But this makes me think if he wasn't straining it slightly on Saturdays, the healing would speed up.
So yeah, what if we sat him next week? That's time to heal all this week, no game Saturday to slow the progress, and all next week to rest.

And then maybe he will be fully healed BEFORE the Ole Miss game instead of after

I agree!! Have Nuss dress, but start and play MVB the whole game if he can. Then Nuss is ready for Ole Miss and then he gets another week off right after that. To me it’s a no brainer to sit him this week.

Nuss should sit out of practice all week. Play him a quarter against Southeastern if you want and then pull him once you're up 14-0.

The result shouldn't be in doubt by halftime whether Nuss plays or not. If we can't run the ball against Southeastern then defund the program.

What do you mean, if he is battling a torso injury. Do you think CBK is lying about that?

This offense needs continuity and an opportunity to get hot against a good but likely lesser team. Not some experiment that could make the game unnecessarily competitive.

And if Van Buren has a good game? This board will screaming for him to be the starter.

If Nussmeier can play, and he is the starter and has been playing, benching him would likely sow discord

This is the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. What if it doesn't go as planned? You gonna bring Nuss off the bench? Isn't this a great opportunity to work on some timing in the passing game? I seriously question if some of these post have ever played competitive sports ever! Start him and when the game is in hand get him out of there. Crazy to sit a potential 1st round QB a week before we play a team on the road that took us to overtime last year at home. Do yall even watch football? No college is just not starting the captain of their team who also plays QB in the middle of the season.

Well IF he's hurt then give him some rest. If he's not hurt, he still needs the practice.
