Maybe coincidence but.....notice how we randomly bring in Pyburn (a defensive end) for one snap at Fullback and we rip off a 52 yard run and he gets s crucial block to spring Durham! The longest run of the season thus far I believe.
I saw a clip from the Pittsburgh Seattle game this weekend where Seattle lined up in an old school I-Formation. The lead fullback destroyed 2 Linebackers simultaneously. One being former tiger and Pro great Patrick Queen which sprang the running back for a nice run. It was pretty awesome highlight.
Look at all the success we had in the past running with a lead blocker and defenses knew the Run was coming!
Look, I'm not saying we need to go back to that prehistoric Les Miles offense but there is STILL a benefit to having a lead Fullback in today's game. Why not put in a few packages. Pyburn looks the part and certainly has that persona of a old school fullback. What could it hurt? We need to try anything at this point.

Isn't that exactly what we just did?

I don't know what it is about this board.
When LSU used to run a ton of I formation, many posters called it Power I formation.
When LSU finally runs a Power I formation, posters call it I formation.
That gif is Power I formation.

In reference to the famous Tommy Banks photo, I posted to put Pyburn in at Fullback and run a little I-Form. (Since the OL can't run block for shite because the current OL Coach is in way over his head at the LSU/SEC level of competition)
