That's actually an unreal statistic. Nearly a coin flip chance of getting 0 or negative yards every play is championship tier stuff

I thought Florida's offensive game plan against our defense was pretty good. They really designed around getting the ball out quickly and slipping to running back out to catch passes as a counter to our aggressive pass rush.

Unfortunately for them as soon as they tried to pass for any distance Lagway would throw a pick. But I did think they found some ways to move the ball pretty well at times.

Those inside slants and middle screens seemed to be an effective counter to Baker's blitzing. They also seemed to go away from it as the game went on.

Amazing stuff. You don’t even have to look at the stats to see they are elite.

They swarm to the football, they have a Want to be physical, and they are playing assignment football.

I saw a few plays that would have gone for TDs last yr that were prevented from pursuit and effort.

Yes it is bit its also like pulling teeth because the offense doesn't let the defense breath. Im shocked we didnt run out of gas on defense being on the field that long.

Kudos to the S/C coach/Dietitian....

That's like the same percentage as on Tecmo Bowl when you would pick the correct play to defend.

Watching them tackle after what we’ve seen the last few seasons makes me straight up giddy

I trust Baker to learn and adapt from this game. Even though they played well, they can clean up a few things. Gotta be mindful of the counter to the aggressive blitzes like Florida was doing. They lost track of Baugh a couple times, particularly on the touchdown that was called back. But he slipped down the sideline and got behind everybody.

But you can bet other teams are watching that and our going to incorporate some of the same to counter Bakers aggression. But I trust this group to work on that stuff.

This but it’s been the improvement in open field tackling that’s been the biggest surprise for me. It’s beautiful

I don’t think they went away from it as much as LSU adjusted and took it away. They never had a counter to our counter.
