The worst part of someone dying is that you can’t talk to them anymore

I lost a friend last year. I wish we could grab lunch again and talk about everything going on.

You can talk to them, they just can't talk back. Look for signs

You can always talk to them

What sucks is that first time you go to pick up the phone to call them, because you're not used to them being gone yet. I still remember a week or two after my dad died, my car battery died on me at the gas station when on my way to work one morning. I was gonna give him a call to come give me a jump and it took me a second after I grabbed my phone from my pocket to remember he wasn't here anymore.

My dad died in 2018. I still talk to him every day. He answers. Just in a different way and not immediately. Talk to your friend. You may be pleasantly surprised he’s listening.

Wait until you lose your dad.

Talk to them. Remember them,
That is how they stay with you.
Get mad at them, laugh with them, cry with them.
You carry a part of the light they shared in you. As long as it stays lit, they are with you.
I carry the dead with me every single day

My son that was born the same year as he died eerily acts like him sometimes. Even my mom said recently ‘ok, grandpa’
So I like to think that’s Dad acknowledging what’s going on.

I've had some dreams. Nothing while awake I can point to other than one time a picture fell down.

Yesterday would have been my mom's 88th birthday. Miss her and dad pretty much every day. Once in a while, I catch myself reaching for the phone to call and tell them something. She passed away 9 years ago. Dad died in 2019. That void never gets filled.

I lost my dad in 2017 to the same cancer I have now. At least once a week I think of something I want to ask him about, but then realize I can’t. How to tie a particular fishing knot, a memory of a golf course we played together, tell him that Tiger Woods won another major in 2019 (dad said he never would).
Death is part of life and that sucks.

Lost some really close friends when I was a young adult, one who was my best friend at the time. It gets easier, you still talk, you still get weird signs and signals. Mine was very surreal, I had a premonition of her death months before that shook me bad. After it happened I didn't eat for 3 days and was completely numb for months. It took years to fully understand that it was trauma I suffered from and not a lot of people experience it. I should have saught therapy back then but didn't until 7 years later.
Sorry to make my post about me, but the best thing to do is talk to others about your lost friend.

Lost my Dad 4 months ago and I still feel like I'm going to see him lounging in his recliner as I enter his home. Lost my best friend and it still doesn't seem real.

You can actually talk to them if u can find a real medium. That Tyler kid looks legitimate. But for every real one there are 100 fakes maybe more. If they want money move on

Mine died in 2020, just a week before LSU beat Clemson. But he knew it happened. He had firmly predicted a NC from day one of the season.
