Ok, after the last 2 were not really proper directs and were Indie Showcases and a Partner Direct - and people seemed to be disappointed....

I'd go on record and say this will be a proper one, and anything less would be a big mistake. I expect big things with the Holiday season right around the corner.

BIg swing Guesses:
Metroid Prime Look and Release Date
Hyrule Warriors Release Look and Release Date
I think we get a look at the next Mario Game, or at least a teaser. That or Smash Bros. They are going to want one of those next holiday season.

3rd Party - Final Fantasy VII Release Date (Or Drop), Hades 2 Drop and I think we get at least a couple of new announcements - RE Requiem? Marvel Rivals? 007?

The Metroid Prime problem is real - either they are going to announce it for a Thanksgiving release.....

Or it's likely April-Jun

And if not that - it's next November.

Those are the Nintendo windows.

And if it kicks out to the summer or later - Christmas games will be HW and yes, something like Mario Maker. If they can get FF VII and a few other third parties for the holidays - or a surprise like Borderlands 4 - it would be fine. If they misfire on that, that's frustrating.

It’s honestly comical that we don’t know anything about MP4’s release date yet.

I have no idea how they don’t have a main SMB game locked and loaded after like 8 years from the last one.

I’ve never not gotten a Nintendo console almost immediately at release, and literally nothing has compelled me to want this console yet.

Same. I have a switch lite since I gave away my OLED to some kid a while back.

I want to be able to play on the TV again but I'm hesitant to get the switch 2 until some really good exclusives come out

It's basically Nintendo's Duke Nuke Em Forever at this point.

Only difference is I think MP4 actually turns out quite good.

I think Mario kart was worth getting it early but that’s probably the number one game we play as a family so it’s a big driver.

I would kill for Xenoblade 2 or Xenoblade X Switch 2 update.

I bounced off Xenoblade X because it ran worse than it did on the Wii U

ETA: The RE9 trailer looked fantastic.

Introducing Mario 40th Anniversary with a movie announcement and ports of two Wii games is very on-brand for 2025 Nintendo

They honestly expect people to purchase a large, clunky replica Virtual Boy to dock their switch in to play emulated versions of 30 year old VB games? Almost all of which are absolutely terrible.

Between it being locked behind the premium service and needing this accessory, wtf is the point? A few hardcore Nintendo nerds will get this as a lark and play around with it for and hour and then never touch it again.
