Offshore fishing pliers

Recently got a pair of sword titanium pliers for offshore fishing. They are great. Dont think you can bend them. However I keep a few extra pairs on the boat for other people to use and these never last. Main issue is the jaws become bent from twisting circle hooks. Other issues are corosion related (manely super pliers)
Anyone have a pair of stainless or other corosion resistant pliers that they really like that dont bend out of shape on offshore tackle? For a reasonable price. Not buying titanium for novice anglers

Im in love with these things. You can really tear up some shite with them and they hold up.
Otherwise, harbor freight lineman pliers. Douse in fresh water and wd-40 post trip and chunk em when they get too bad.

I recently bit the bullet and bought sord pliers and absolutely love them. Cheapest pliers that seem to last are Bubba pliers. Haven’t rusted in over a year, and they stay on my boat in Venice 24/7. Everything cheaper lasts a couple of trips before they seize up.

I've been keeping 3 or 4 pair of the Connely fishing aluminum pliers on the for several years now. They don't corrode that I've noticed and keep thier shape. They are $40 on the website but when on sale they drop to $35, that's when I usually buy a couple of pairs. Guests lost 2 pair on my last trip overboard so I'll be ordering some more.

I have never used the sword titanium but I do have two of their filet knives and love them. I bought a pair of these at my local tackle shop and I really like them. I like the more pointed jaws. Feel very strong and have had zero issues with them yet
I have two or three $40 pair laying around the boat and dont let anyone else use my titaniums.

The linesman plier was a thought. They do make them in stainless that you can find a couple of places. Just never heard of anyone using them for a fishing application. They are also $70 so a little on the high end

Yea frick that. Get the steel ones. They last a long time with liberal wd40 blasting.

There's plenty of things I'm a big believer in quality but pliers on a boat I just can't do. I've lost way too much shite overboard, I just buy cheap ones and I have a cup in my garage where I keep some oil and tools that are oiled up. Its not ideal but is inexpensive and works.

I went on an offshore trip and the deck hand had some 3 year old Irwin pliers from Lowes. He said he sprays them with WD40 after every trip.
