70.4 rate higher than Bo Nix, Russell Wilson, Cam Ward, Tua, Bryce Young. CJ Stroud, Trevor Lawrence, Joe Flacco and Dak also had rates in the 70s.

15th most passing yards (212) on the most attempts of the week (46). Josh Allen had 394 on 46, Drake Maye had 287 on 46, Flacco had 290 on 45, Penix had 298 on 42, and Bo Nix had 176 on 40.

He only had 1 throw greater 20 yards, but so did Burrow, Goff, Nix, Tua and Ward. Only took 1 sack which is tied for 2nd fewest of the week.

Hate him all you want, but he clearly progressed and gained confidence throughout the game and is the reason why we had a chance to force OT. He executed a 2 min drive with no timeouts, bad officiating, penalties, and no downfield threat.

Definitely cherry picking. He also had an int called back because of a call way away from the play and one dead dropped by a defender. Every deep ball was way fricking off, and if not for some amazing play by JJ he would have looked far worse. Johnson literally bailed him out over and over grabbing off target throws.

Dude can move the ball a little but takes few big shots and can't do anything in the red zone.

Part of this yesterday was because of the Cards coverage, but even when he did take shots they weren't even fricking close.

People crucified Carr, who was above average, but are willing to settle for below average I guess, as long as it's not Carr?

Right. He's "fine". He is a smart guy that operates the little things fine.

In this era of football, with the way defenses are playing with all of these two high zones and etc...a QB now has to be better than fine, and I don't see Rattler being anything beyond what he is.

He gets 3-4 more games to show is growth.

Pretty much every defense in the league is moving towards this style of coverage.

That’s a lot of effort for absolutely nothing.

Yes these were "cherrypicked" since people are bitching about his ypa, his ability to progress through reads and command the pocket.

There are no negative outliers from his performance yesterday and again we should have forced OT. Sure we can say he should have had an INT but the dropped TD was unarguably more consequential.

I'm sorry everyone is disappointed that he didn't fail yesterday.

Only he isn't fine. His play was far from fine yesterday. It was far from fine last year. Just because he can "operate" an offense doesn't mean his actual play is fine. He has almost no accuracy beyond 10 yards. Simple passes to the middle of the field were constantly misplaced and his deep throws were often closer to the defender than our guy.

In the red zone he cannot read the field to save his life. If his first read isn't there he is toast.

Yes, which means Rattler is not a competent qb in the league in 2025. Maybe 20 years ago he would have been "fine".

QBs now have to kind of make some ridiculous throws to go against these defenses, or teams have to be able to pound the frick out of the ball and get those safeties moving up.

You've got to be able to hit those Post Corner routes and stuff like that.

I get that the Saints just don't have enough playmakers. But Rattler is simply just fine and will never be a "playmaker" himself

i hate to break it to you but we have no "big shot" players right now, especially in the RZ. The only way we are getting a big shot right now is from a busted coverage on Olave, Sheed, or Tip.

Fine in the very basic sense. He gets the team in and out of the huddle. He isn't totally lost out there and handles things calmly and competently

His read & throw to Johnson on the second to last play was perfect. The problem with the offense especially in the redzone is the lack of playmakers. It has been this way going back for several seasons now. We don't have a threat who can consistently get open once the field is condensed. It particularly hurts not having a big bodied threat at WR or TE who can physical his way into getting open.
