He has time to put it together, but he is a straight up bad hitter so far.

He's a below average player on a horrible team. He won't see the majors again.

Take off your blinders. It takes more than being a good fielder in the majors. Every analyst says the same, he just can not hit on the major league level, he struggled in the upper levels of the minors as well. He’s a great guy but not everyone is cut out for the day in day out of Major League Baseball.

I remember when people were giving the Pirates shite for not taking him over Skenes

Time will tell what type of major league player Crews becomes or does not become.
What we DO know is what type of player he was for LSU and college baseball…
He Is One Of The All-Time Greats !!!!
Major League Baseball … we shall see.

He was great at lsu but at the professional level he can’t hit a fastball to save his life.

Opposing pitchers know he can not hit a fastball, hence he strikes out over 25% of his at bats. Nats have invested too much in him to cut him but the heat is being turned up and in the national sports media it is being noticed.

Crews has 225 at bats in 65 games
how about you cool your jets?

And why are you so obsessed with him? Did he steal your girl?

That doesn’t explain the woes of Dylan Crews. It gives a couple of statistics and says he has to be better. Yeah no crap.
But very clearly AI written and lacking substance, real analysis, and behind-the-scenes perspectives. It’s a click piece for dopes to put on Internet forums.

Texas Rangers season ticketholder here. Langford is a great athlete who has shown pretty good pop at the plate (21 HR this season), but he's been a .250 hitter over his first two full seasons. I like Wyatt a lot, but it's not like he's tearing the league apart. I expect both Crews and Langord to be contributing major leaguers for the next decade. It's unclear whether both, one, or neither will be a star.

Dylan will have to time to find his groove. Here's an interesting video clip of a great MLB hitter and how it all cam together for him.

Yeah and that translates to striking out 30% of his at bats.
Posted on 9/8/25 at 9:05 pm to lsu for the win
Nice timing for this thread.
Crews line tonight
3/5, HR, 4 RBIs
