I think the 18-26-1 that me and one other guy have on here is the lowest possible combination of consecutive four year stretches based on my brief review of the stats.
Actually, the worst possible 4-year stretch in recent memory (probably ever) would be '89-'92:

'89: 4-7
'90: 5-6
'91: 5-6
'92: 2-9
Total: 16-28

Or '91-'94:

'91: 5-6
'92: 2-9
'93: 5-6
'94: 4-7
Total: 16-28

The worst I know of is a guy I met my second year, who was at LSU from Fall '89-Summer '95 (before the '95 season). Six years, six losing seasons, 25-41 record.

Pax regis, and Slickback are on totally different sides of the spectrum. Also, in that FSU game in 91' we led them until the first play of the 4th quarter, when they went ahead with a td. We didn't lose that game that badly actually. Hell for Hallman, losing by about 11 or so to #1 FSU was a damn victory! For me, in 82' we went 8 -3 - 1 with wins over Florida on the road (#4 in nation at time), at Bama(Bear's last year, Bama no first downs in 1st half), Florida St.(crushed them like 55 - 21 or so for the right to go to Orange Bowl), tied Tennessee and Willie Gault(he had ko return for td, otherwise we win) at home 13 - 13 I think. Then lost a classic to Nebraska in Miami 21 - 20, when we kept a late drive of theirs alive on a stop on 3rd and long, but late hit out of bounds. Great year and team, with emergence of freshman "Dalton James Gang", with great defense, and very nice year from senior Alan Risher at qb. Our losses were to of all people, Miss St(John Bond beat us all 4 of his years there, this one right after we beat Bama), and Tulane at home, (right after beating FSU for right to play in the Orange Bowl and being a 28 point favorite on a rainy night in Tiger Stadium), and of course the loss to Neb, and all their studs(Fryar, Rozier, Gill et all). By the way to the guy that asked what he gets for winning the worst record while attending LSU, the prize is a Autographed 20 by 20 picture of Curley Hallman!

1984-1988.

Good timing, sandwiched between two 4-7 seasons in 1983 and 1989.
That's pretty good. I intentionally left off the years, but you figured it out quickly. How'd you do that?? I was lucky. I felt as if I was a good luck charm. Until this latest run that may have been the best 5 year period they've had, except the bowl record was pretty awful other than the '87 Gator Bowl.

I didn't go to LSU.

The 3 years I was at CU the Buffs went 10-23 including 1-10 the last season.

It was easy to become an LSU fan in the early 80's.

Heh. Trust me, it took him longer to type it than to figure it out.

Yes I was spoiled during my tenure.
2 SEC Championships
2 National Championships
2003 Sugar Bowl
2007 Sugar Bowl
2006 Peach Bowl

Saw some great games and many memorable moments too:
Green's endzone catch in the 2003 Georgia game, Byrd's catch in the 2007 Auburn game, Game winning catch by Early from Jamarcus in Arizona, Hester in the 2007 Florida game, Chad Jones sack in the 07 Alabama game, plus many more

Congrats. Wish I was submitting 3 papers every two months

I will give them a read when I get a chance. CO2 sequestration?

I doubt they will be published, actually. this is kind of a rush job - which is ok since I am not going into academia.

nah. Migration kinetics of red blood cells. My research is actually biomedical based. My side work is energy-based.

Good luck
