@TigerSaurus, those are EXACTLY the types of schools he would thrive at IMHO, and he wants to be an engineer (chemical so far). He is very practical about his football shelf life.

Being local, Tulane is certainly an option if they become interested.

After this football season, I'm sure he would visit any schools or camps outside this area and hope that it's not too late, but aside from relying on his High School to advocate for him, I wonder how to get those schools' attention early this season?!

Like in the job market, proper networking appears to be the best way to stand out from the crowd...

33 is shameful. You are just trying to put the rest of us down.

I agree with the other poster. Go to an Ivy League school and don't look back. Numerous Jesuit connections to Columbia and Yale. He'll be fine.

It could be done if he’s truly passionate about the game then do both. Myron Rolle did it.

A good friend of mine went to one of those schools, and he said the best thing to do is to reach out to the coaches and enroll in the summer camps.

Look to see if any of the position coaches or coordinators have Louisiana ties and if they have any New Orleans area players in their roster.

You can probably find a few schools that have camps in consecutive days and get 2-3 camps in a short period.

Stanford, Duke, Vandy, etc will be harder though as they will rarely be the first D-1 offer for a recruit.

Eta: just looked up the Hudl and saw he was was 2026 instead of 2027, so the summer camps will not really be an option unless he does a post-grad year somewhere.

Yeah he missed the camp circuit so it’ll be difficult to get a D1 offer. Reach out to all
The Ivy League schools and see what they say.

I’d try to be a recruited athlete for an Ivy League school. No scholarship outside of need-based financial aid though.

Don’t have him go to a crappy school just to play football.

That’s amazing, truly… but that’s like the average Jesuit ACT score.
