Rocket Mortgage reported my mortgage payment as late…

Except it wasn’t late. Ever.
It’s on autopay and they acknowledge I’ve never been late.
My credit score just dropped from 800 to 720 overnight.
Now Rocket Mortgage is denying turning me into credit agencies. Transunion gave me the employee id of the person that reported me late at Rocket Mortgage, but Rocket Mortgage says they can do nothing because it’s not showing up in their system.
So now I can’t close on my house next week and Rocket Mortgage told me essentially to kick rocks…
Has anyone ever dealt with something like this? I’ve never wanted to punch someone in the face over the phone so bad.
The ghetto fabulous queen in the phone refused to even write a memo to my lender confirming I’ve never been late. I’m beyond frustrated.

Time to start digging for phone numbers/email addresses of big wigs online. Some frontline CS person is clearly clueless.

Pull someone from corporates email/phone number from LinkedIn and contact them and be relentless. Is it kind of an a-hole move? Yes, but your closing depends on it so frick em

Will they allow you to provide bank statements from the time of the alleged late payment to show that it was paid?

Have you looked into the Rapid Rescore process? Borrowers can’t initiate a rapid rescore on their own—rapid rescoring has to be done through a lender.

"So now I can’t close on my house next week."

They can surely be sued, but not sure that's the approach you want to take.

Had a similar issue with Rocket Mortgage at a closing. The pay off amount given to the closing company didn’t recognize two months worth of payments. Had I not reviewed, I would have been out several thousands.
I also dealt with a clueless dindunuffin that was not helpful.

Rocket's service is terrible. Was your loan sold to them or did you use rocket?

Loan was sold to them.
I have spoken to 2 people that have the title “Education specialist / executive office of Rocket Mortgage”
Both were certified retards. Both told me basically to go frick myself.
I called back 7 times and cannot reach anyone above these 2 idiots.

Here's the link to the BBB business profile of their corporate headquarters with some numbers that appear to be local?
Also on that page is contact info for the Michigan Department of Insurance & Financial Services (DIFS). I'm sure they might be able to help

Your new mortgage lender have any advice?
If your new lender can't/won't help, I wonder if the origination side of Rocket might help if they thought you might go with them for the new loan. Maybe work w them to get a loan approval but close w your preferred lender after Rocket clears it up chasing your business. I'm guessing they don't work that fast though.

I have had zero negative experiences with Rocket Mortgage.

You need to do a few things here. Provide proof that they dinged you for a late pay. If they do nothing, then you need to threaten to turn them into the CFPB. In fact, you should probably do this anyway. When CFPB gets an inquiry, they go to the lender (in this case RM) and they have to respond with in a certain amount of time (30 days typically), if they don't they can get fined, and it could become a major ordeal for them. Usually, threatening to go to the CFPB will get the lender's attention.
Also, find out who regulates them. I'm not sure, but a guess would be the FTC.. It should say somewhere on the website. Threaten to turn them in, or frick just do it. It's likely they have some state regulators as well. Do some digging and frick them in the arse just like they are doing you.
Take this from someone who has been in this area 15+ years.

I did a quick search and have about 10 different VP’s cell number and the CEO’s cell.
Let me know if you want them.

I sent an email to Katrina Beaubien through Facebook.
I’ve already contacted the BBB and filed a complaint.

For all intents and purposes, the CFPB no longer exists. It’s a skeleton crew at best and, from I remember, Russell Vought took over as director.
