Recruiting idea…

I hope LSU will be one of the school that will take this approach… instead of investing all this money recruiting these kids by flying out them and their families out 5-10 times and courting them for years why not just take that money and use it for the portal?? I mean most of these kids are simply using these commitments to drive up the price for another school anyway… so I think they should send out letters with an amount they will offer these kids and let it be…. Spending millions to have these kids flip is getting pointless the tigers are championship contenders because of the portal….

It doesn’t cost millions to fly families out 
Either way, LSU has already proven that they’ll focus on portal players as well. Doesn’t mean they will ignore high school recruits

Bruh. It takes both and we will continue to do both. Half our team is both signed outta highschool and portal guys. Why would we do anything different?

We need to continue to get the lion’s share of Louisiana athletes and supplement with the portal. As for guys from Mississippi, I don’t consider anyone a given anymore, but especially not kids from Mississippi.

It’s not that simple. LSU needs to continue investing significant resources recruiting high school athletes in LA, TX, and FL. We seem to have a pretty damn good balance right now.

Genuinely curious how old are you? This feels like it was either written by a 4th grader or an 85 year old man that is completely out of touch.

They didn't spend millions on Bryce Underwood because he never made it here, so they spent it on portal players with experience & who wanted to be Tigers.
Whatever was set aside for Tucker will be used on a player who wants to be a Tiger. That will either be on another bluechip, or another portal player, or who knows, maybe Tucker himself when he changes his mind again.
