Thinking of going to a Phillies series next year. Google Earth looks like they don’t have a lot of hotel options in walking distance. Anyone been? Any tips?

Stadium is very easy to access via public transit. Just stay downtown. The Notary is a good hotel.

This. We stayed at a hotel off the Walnut-Locust stop. Subway took us there and back with no issues.

Thanks fellas. So we’re talking a situation similar to NYC with the Mets and Yankees. Stay in the city where you’re within walking distance of bars/restaurants and then take the subway straight to the park?

Find out where first aid stations are for when you wear your Mets shite to the game I know where to bring you to get stitched up.

Just checked out of there 2hrs ago. Nice hotel, but typical of redone buildings, you get that weird cold/muggy in the rooms.

Nice hotel, convenient to walk to historical sites, but Philly in general is dirty AF

Eta: PHL airport sucks… def bottom tier

Philly has sort of a sports complex with the hockey/basketball arena, baseball and football stadiums all clustered together south of town.

Philly proper tourists sites are downtown.

The stadium is closer to airport.

I guess somebody could fly in for a day game, and take the last flight out, but that seems quick to me.

I’ve been to the Phillies stadium. It’s nice.

yep, easy ride on the Broad Street Line. Stayed at the Doubletree on Locust and Broad, station entrance was just across Loucst from the front door of the hotel. Stadium is about 3 blocks from the NRG Station.

Exactly. I'd say the stadium is even slightly more convenient than Citi/Yankee.

My wife is from Philly, we travel up several times a year from Virginia for Eagles/Phils/Flyers games. We stay downtown near Reading Terminal Market and Uber to the games

Do it, cool ballpark.

But make sure you sit in the outfield, cheap seats. Its a free show.
