Recruits.lsu saying wiltfong predicting a flip for Tucker to Ole Miss after spending the weekend in Oxford.

Also said may not be the first flip but not to worry as LSU is making progress on flipping some others but still sucks to see this.

It’s hard to even worry about it at this point

I’m not saying this in a doomsday style voice either. This is really hard to worry about stuff like this with the transfer portal as well as how well LSU is doing on the football field.

I understand it’s only better when we get commitments versus losing ;but we look good in football is what I’m worried about right now because recruiting is very difficult to follow at this time.

I do agree with this. Everything comes down to how that team values the individual player.

Ole Miss may not have a ton of confidence in their current depth and development. Or maybe just slightly less than LSU feels about theirs. The less concerned we are about signing that ONE guy than the other school, the less we will pay. Just creates a better offer to those who need him more and we should be okay with that.

It’s clear we will pay top dollar for those we need now. No sense in overpaying for a nice to have just to beat out someone paying top dollar for a player they must have.

Correct. LSU was not participating in driving up the cost of high school senior recruits that are searching for the bank.

Let Tennessee and Ole Miss and Southern Cal drive that cost up and then we let go like a seasoned bidder.

That reduces Tennessee and old Mrs. chances of landing proven portal players. As the MONEY board would say, we have a lot of dry powder when we get dissed by recruits like this.

LSU has Thomas and Petitto managing our roster. We are fine.

Just remember, it's a fricking zoo out there.

We have people running the program to result in success. Trust in them...

When are we going to have recruits flipping to us because LSU is very good this year?

Recruits don’t care much about wins and losses these days.

Some schools like blowing their load on kids that haven’t played a down of CFB while LSU put together a staff to run things like an NFL franchise.

Would not be shocked if Keys ends up at Ole Miss instead of Tenn when all is said and done
Nature of the business these days

Ole Miss and Kiffin spent a ton of $ to fall short of playoffs last season

We’re 11th ranked in recruiting. What do we fall to after this?

I’ll sure losing the 273rd player won’t be too big of a shock to the system.
He can easily be replaced in a transfer portal.

Like I have said several times in the past, I don't count any MS verbals to LSU to eventually sign with LSU. These "pseudo" MS commits have been going on long before NIL was even a term. I don't know about other non-MS schools but LSU loses more "commits" from that state than they do actually signing players from that state. Those prospects have an agenda in mind and it certainly isn't to actually sign with LSU. My guess it is to get an offer from LSU which is hell and back more prestigious than any MS schools offer.

Still 11th by the 247 Sports Team Calculator. BTW, LSU's average per player rating will go UP if that floats your boat.
