Cannot wait to watch this kid continue to grow into a shutdown corner. Truly think he’s starting on the boundary by the Florida game and we kick woodland into the slot. This kid will be rocking a 7 Jersey by the end of his time here.

The guy says this looks like a highlight reel, but this includes the bad plays because there were no bad plays.

The 7 jersey going forward can only be worn by someone who is from the state of Louisiana. But nonetheless , he will be a superstar.

Its been well documented that Perk and his family were from New Orleans but they relocated due to Katrina. So even though Perk went to High School in Texas he is still from Louisiana. And yes Brian Kelly said number 7 goes to the "Louisiana Playmaker."

We did not play a lot of Nickle against Clemson. They really wanted to mainly be in their base 4-3 package. I hope we go to more 5 and 6 DBs and get more creative with how we utilize the front but I think the Florida game is too soon for Pickett to be the opposite corner from Delane. I would expect more around Ole Miss or South Carolina at the soonest that Pickett would over take Woodland as the CB2.

Now again if the scheme goes to more 5 DBs then its a moot point. Hes going to play a lot this year and will have a very successful career here at LSU but he just like Woodland need to continue to add weight.

He’s actually already added a lot of weight. He came in at 174 and is up to 195. He’s put up 20 pds that’s actually more than Stingley weighed as a true freshmen he was 190. Pickett is just tall corner so the gained weight may not be noticeable but he’s def already gotten significantly stronger

In those clips, Pickett actually had less separation between he and his man than Delane did in a couple. He's like glue, at 6'5". That's frickin' impressive.

Yes but this is a BK policy. I’d be tempted to add an “LSU-grown” element to it as well. Thanks for transferring, but this is for the loyalist.

I think we see JuJuan in it next year. It’s only going to take him breaking one to truly unlock his playmaking long-term. Trey’Dez could be a possibility. Longshot would be Manchild Francis. Strongly believe he’s the next true LSU STUD receiver and future top 5 pick.

That is why I said continue to add weight. Stingley was 4-5 inches shorter so his weight at 190 was more filled out, their bodies are not the same. He has put on weight which he needed to do but as I said he needs to continue to add weight. Same with Woodland hes added weight as well but he also needs to continue putting on weight.

Also, you lose on average 10 lbs over the course of the season. Maintaining weight for people who just put on the weight is extremely hard to do over the course of the season. Pickett should really maintain weight around 205-210 lbs.

Brian Kelly wasn't the Coach when Patrick Peterson was here. Brian Kelly made his own adjustment to the number.

How about, just number 3. The best cb in college. It works.
