Trev Faulk. When Watching his video he reminds me of Trev in high school. Very fast to the ball and a hard hitter. Maybe now we will have Minter Jones just like James Faulk back in the day.

I like Tahj alot and glad he's going to qualify. Go hit the weights and eat Tahj. Congrats buddy. Welcome to the LSU family

He looks a lot smaller than Faulk imo. Hopefully Tahj and Mingo will be in the weight room nonstop for the next year or two.

Tahj has been on the weights this year. Rivals isn't that updated, I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't up to 215 by now

I think he fits the Chavis mold for LB's to a tee!

I like Tahj alot too. And I'm glad we got another Louisiana boy. If he can get up to 225 - 230 without losing any speed he's gonna make an instant impact

Tahj is a Kevin Burnett clone.

Combo of Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, and Brian Urlacher.
Oh, n/m, thought he was a white kid.

Tahj Jones reminds me of Derik Odom

with Chavis, I think guys with less talent than Trev Faulk and Bradie James are going to shine at LSU at LB like never before.
Look at how good James became in the NFL. He's the leader of the Cowboys D. It'll be nice to get some expert coaching at a position that we haven't seen since...

The car crushing part or build wise?
From people who have seen him, would it be fair to compare him to Ali Highsmith?

damn, these double negatives they always throw a loop in my brain. So a negative plus a negative is a negative, or do I need to multiply them in which case its a positive.

tahj and mingo have some great closing speed if those two can stay with moffit for a couple years no one will get past them,,not to mention Minter and Ryan Baker..Chavis is gunna have this LB position at an all time high

Tahj isn't quiet Trev but i believe he can become very close. Trev was a little more intense then Tahj. I played against Trev in high school and he was a great leader but he was also a wild man (a great combo). I have seen Tahj play a few times and he is an amazing talent that I am very happy to see come to LSU. I believe the coaching staff will bulk Tahj up to a good 235 and he will be one of LSU's greatest LBs ;however, I don't see him become the vocal leader that Trev was. Congrats Tahj your a great kid and I know how hard you worked to get to this. Enjoy brother you earned it.

Based on his combo of size, speed and position plyed, I'd say he appears to be more of an Ali Highsmith type.

what's his 40 time?
Posted on 2/3/09 at 12:18 pm to tigerjuice
Tahj runs a 4.47 to 4.5 40.I've seen him timed several times. His 40 time on rivals is very old. When he shined at the jr combine in SAN ANTONIO he ran a 4.53-4.55.
