Tommy Bowden weighed in, said he knew both places well, and picked LSU, As expected, Tigernet had a meltdown..

Well, on EA Sports College Football ‘26, LSU stadium is rated the hardest to play in

Well, Memorial Stadium was decent in the first half. I’d compare it to a first half in Tiger Stadium against a decent mid tier opponent.

I can honestly say that the environment was not intimidating in the least. Even the fans trash talk inside the stadium was incredibly weak. Someone tried to flex the FSU win over Bama, they obviously don’t understand that LSU fans hate the SEC and only love LSU.

The Clemson fans who travel to BR next year will have a truly eye opening experience, that much I am sure of.

Tired conversation, Clemson had it first and then we brought it to an entire new level. Both can exist

I mean, Clemp can get all mad but has there ever been any notable mention of Clemp DV being a huge thing?
No.

Just keep having a winning record against Clemson, let them use the name but remind them who daddy is…

“I think I might get shot for saying this, but I think the consensus from coast to coast on which is the real Death Valley would be LSU,” Bowden said. “I think when you say ‘Death Valley’ in Texas or Oregon or Montana or Idaho, people probably think LSU first over Clemson.”

Anyone with a functioning brain cell would agree with that statement. It may hurt their feelings, but it is true.

Honest question: Where were y’all sitting? On the fringes of the upper deck or lower deck?

I’m a Clemson alum/fan that has been a regular on Tigerdroppings since 2013. Missed this game but attended the Peach Bowl and Natty. Gave as much info to those traveling to Clemson for this game. Glad most people came away with the opinion that Clemson fans were welcoming.

I must admit I was truly pissed at the atmosphere at the last home game I attended against Louisville last year. It was a bunch of folks sitting on their hands on 3rd down in the red zone (multiple times). It’s changed over the years since I was a kid and a student.

Y’all have to realize Louisiana is crazy as hell (in a good way) and is hard to match. Good game. Good luck this season and hopefully you guys show us a good time in Baton Rouge.

I was there, row e upper deck and thought the atmosphere was great. I’ve heard tiger stadium much louder but I’ll give Clemson this- the stadium was full well before kickoff and almost no one left until the game was over. Something LSU fans should take note of instead of arriving late and leaving early. And before you blame traffic, Clemson has traffic issues as well, we didn’t get back to our hotel until 2am

I was at the game too. Everything seemed forced from the music and the light shows in between plays and during timeouts trying to get the crowd amped. It just seemed completely lame compared to death Valley or Tiger Stadium, even at as loud as I thought it was weak.

Let's clear the air here:

Death Valley is in Baton Rouge (Clemson is nothing but a wannabe)
Baton Rouge is home of the Fighting Tigers

Stadium was full, at the beginning was pretty loud. Honestly made me long for the days we sat up 80-90k. Fans were very welcoming. The little brother thing about “Death Valley” thing was weird. Came up throughout the day whereas I’ve never heard one of our fans think twice about it.

They started it and we perfected it. Like Bear Bryant said:

Baton Rouge happens to be the worst place in the world for a visiting team. It's like being inside of a drum."

Bear Bryant

Ronnie Lott:

"It's probably the only time in my life I was intimidated by the crowd." - Former ALl American and Pro Football Hall of Famer, Ronnie Lott, on LSU's game against USC in 1979 at Tiger Stadium He also had these comments regarding the 1979 USC vs. LSU game in Tiger Stadium: "A lot of great players have played in that stadium, but I don't know if any team has walked into that stadium and dealt with what we went through. From the time we landed to the time we left, I don't know if a team has ever gone through that." "I haven't been in an event like that at any level of football. Out of all the games I've ever played in, I've never been in anything like that, and I am including my Super Bowls in that assessment."

If you know the history Clemson was coined Death Valley first so it’s not an argument that Clemson can’t claim it as authentic. Obviously it only comes up when they play eachother.
