More interesting of an excessive if you’re a fan of a team from a place like Texas or California with lots of teams that go back and forth, or even Virginia or North Carolina. Not as interesting if you’re a fan of Ohio state or UGA with those programs being head and shoulders above the rest of their state.

Florida week 1 power rankings:

1. Miami- the U is back! Knocking off a top 10 Notre dame team fresh off of playing in the national title game. Miami dominated the LOS and Beck looked improved and closer to his 2023 version of himself rather than the rattled and distracted Beck of 2024. Miami is a playoff contender without a doubt

2. FSU- bama might suck but regardless what a response to a 2-10 season knocking off a previously #8 team by 2 TDs and Tommy Football backed up his trash talk in the off season on the field! Might be time to fear the spear again!

3. USF- Fun team to watch with a dangerous qb and blew out #25 Boise despite coming into that game as underdogs. Golesh is young but could be the best coach in the state if he keeps improving, although he might go to a bigger program after that soon

4. UF- played a high school program and won but the O line got abused pretty bad, tre Wilson had -5 yards on 4 receptions and Napier called a bubble screen on 3rd and 9 against LIU. Lagway looked rusty and might be overrated. Gators on upset alert against the bulls next week, get ur popcorn ready

5. UCF- had a struggle bus win against some team they should’ve beaten by 3 TDS easily. They finished 4-8 last year and frost is trying to make a comeback after an alcoholic crash and burn at his alma mater. Does he have what it takes to rebuild UCF again? Now they’re in the big 12 instead of the AAC although the big 12 of 2025 is closer to the aac of 2017 than the big 12 of 2017. Lots of work to do in Orlando and this year will probably be another flop.

1 Nebraska

Its the only D1-A program in the state. They could lose every game and will still be 1.

7. SDSU
8. Stanford

Both Mater Dei and Bosco beat their early season Florida interstate challengers. Mater Dei played a terrible game and still beat St. Thomas Aquinas. Bosco blew their FL opponents out. It was 66-7 or something when I turned it off. Kal has a suprisingly good QB, ucla has a Tennessee xfer QB that can't handle pressure. Haven't seen SDSU to be fair, but I have seen the shell of a team that is Stanford, and they're not the John Elway/John Lynch/Jim Harbaugh kinda Stanford. They're probably not even good at computer science anymore. I'm keeping quiet on USC. I have a feeling the Trojans will beat some teams folks think they won't, but not gonna jinx it.

Florida high school football has been declining for a while

It has to do with coaching because there is still plenty talent in the state

only during football season because Gaytor football has become so Gay that even the Disney Gaytors fake news narrative is already falling apart after one game against a high school team

All the shite they talked they’re backing down after seeing usf and Miami and lsu handle business.

They’re beginning to know what the caw has been saying along along:

2-10 season incoming
