It was a big game and by all accounts we were all in? Do you think we showed everything we had on offense and defense?

There is some creative stuff in it

Since we didn’t throw deep I would say no. Come on man.

Not close, how many downfield throws did we see?

This whole playbook thing is a red herring. What matters is execution and also self-scouting to make sure you aren't giving away tendencies.

Les miles still has the secret binder I believe.

The passing game will get some flex this weekend.

We showed a lot but playbooks change per week, per opponent. Sloan showed some creativity and will have to continue to add wrinkles

No. We had a specific game plan to stop the run and pressure their QB. The goal was to make them 1 dimensional. There will play plays we use against other teams when we have a different game plan.

They called the plays against a good defense they needed to call to win the game. This was not a sit back in the pocket and dissect the defense type. We needed quick throws and a run game just good enough to make them respect it. Every game is different

Russell Shep playbook safe minus one reverse pass

No way.
If I know Sloan, he's got a whole bag of 2nd and long predictable run plays he hasn't shown yet.

No, it looked like Sloan and Kelly were focused on getting the ball out of Nuss's hands quickly to help the young OL against that nasty Clemson front.
A lot of quick hits and misdirection stuff that used Clemson's aggressiveness against them.
Game plan appeared to be getting it out to our skill guys fast to let them play in space so the OL didn't have to try to hold blocks for long, and it worked.
You'll see a lot more when we aren't facing one of the best D lines in the country.

And some of the West Canaan.

Execution being the biggest thing. Hell, we ran the same play 3 times in a row…successfully.

No. There are plenty more plays we didn’t run.
But we did exactly what we needed to do and that’s take what they gave us instead of forcing plays just to run “the full playbook.”
