While Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson presented a united front last week to reject President Donald Trump’s proposal to deploy the National Guard to Chicago, their message of a city on the mend was brutally undermined by a horrific weekend of gun violence.
At least 35 people were shot, five fatally, across the city, a grim reality that stands in stark contrast to the narrative of declining crime statistics touted by the city’s Democratic leadership.

Oh yeah? Well have you ever heard of Al Capone in Chicago? He was white and caused a lot more violence and no Feds came in to stop him. I bet you feel real dumb right about now.
Real dumb.
Real dumb.

That's actually low for them. When I lived in that area it was common to have 50-75 shot over one weekend during nicer weather.
Now keep in mind that you're only getting part of the picture. Chicago doesn't report all of their violent crime. So there could have easily been 75+ shot this weekend.

What’s the breakdown of shooters/suspects and who the victims are?
Cause I was under the impression that Black Lives Matter and I would love to see either one of the morons say that in reference to this.

Great photo. That's the Board of Trade directly behind them, and the brown building behind Andy Garcia is The Rookery. It's technically the first sky scraper built in Chicago. Beautiful building.

Glock 9mm’s modified for fully automatic fire aren’t accurate, and even less accurate when held sideways for style points
Who knew?

It’s sad that these people are voted in but want nothing to do with actually helping the community and people. Phonies

Bob A dumb arse.

Ninety-four years ago today, one of America's most notorious criminals faced what many thought was impossible – federal indictment for his crimes. On June 12, 1931, Al Capone, the man who had seemingly made himself untouchable through violence, corruption, and careful legal maneuvering, was formally charged by a federal grand jury in Chicago. But in a twist that would become legendary in American legal history, the government didn't get him for murder, bootlegging, or racketeering – they got him for tax evasion

gun violence
This is how the media does it: The guns aren’t causing the violence. Guns can’t just stand up and commit violence.
The media will never be honest about WHO is causing the violence.
