Game Experience at Clemson

First thing- look the campus and much of the surrounding areas are beautiful here. Really clean, nice people and with the weather this weekend it was hard to beat…. But that’s it. People have been really tough on Tiger Stadium, including myself regarding how we run things with concessions, bathrooms, lines, leaving the stadium etc. I really figured Clemson would knock us out of the water in that regard but it was the complete opposite. Clemson was a joke. They knew this was going to be potentially the biggest game in their history and it was like they had no clue how to handle it. Zero trash cans around the stadium/ surrounding areas so the people that actually were tailgating and walking around just tossed trash next to trees. Walking into the stadium was straight up dangerous. They funnel you up into a bottle neck that was so packed and tight that if something were to happen it would be bad news. Also took forever. People bitch about our concessions in here… this place was horrid. To start the game all of machines went down and they didn’t allow cash. Some kid with diabetes had to beg one of the workers just so grab a Coke so he didn’t pass out. They had zero food options and were out of everything by the second quarter. My dad somehow got a hot dog and they said if he wanted condiments he would have to walk almost across the stadium to get some. Lastly, getting out of campus is the exact cluster frick as ours. Big post and I’m sorry but we all think we have it bad at Tiger stadium but we are light years ahead of some other massive names in college football. We’re the real Death Valley. Go Tigers.

Almost like they are….”Death Valley Jr.”

I refuse to believe it is worse than Tiger Stadium

Man they didn’t have hot dogs with buns. Ran out of the bread. I’m not shitting you

It 100% is.
And the noise levels were almost laughable at some really big points in the game. That place was a morgue when the game was 10-10.

The traffic out of there was god awful. Honestly way worse than getting out of BR after a big game.

Our traffic plan is 10x better than theirs. It’s a shite show of epic proportions. Even their residents were dissing it. We stayed in Greenville and it took 2.5 hrs to go 31 miles

I had their fans telling me how sorry they were about how bad everything was. It was bad

I was curious about this, because on the broadcast once it was close every time they showed the student section it seemed like they weren’t even yelling. They looked scared and quiet. We get louder

Well, you do nothing here but troll, so no one would expect you to.

It looked lit and great environment to begin the game but the energy seemed to die as the game went on. How was it in person?

Auburn a&m Florida and Tennessee are all louder and more fun.

That really is pathetic, as much money as concessions can bring in. No excuse. It's as if they have never hosted a big game before. And the lack of trash cans you mentioned. They'll spend more in labor and time cleaning up.

It seemed when Clemson went up, the crowd went crazy, but when it was tied, they went quiet, as if the game was over for them.

It was like they didn't prepare for alcohol sales at all. Insane lines and doddering old people running the kiosks. Really, really amateurish.

I spent 4 years at LSU and then 4 years at Clemson.
The two schools are very different from each other but I can honestly say I enjoyed my time at both places.
LSU is definitely the winner as a ‘football school’ in every imaginable sense. It’s not even close. Clemson is trying. But they’re not LSU.

We drove to the game from Gville.
Paid $150 to park in a yard.
Pregame was decent. We drank at Study Hall and Esso.
Met and chatted with Coach Danny Ford...real treat.
Sat in Row CC and didnt leave bc I wasn't making that climb again.
Took 20 mins to leave and get to the tunnel.
Had 1 beer at Esso before leaving and didn't back to Gville until 2AM
This was a bucket list but from a fan experience it was really bad
