Can Trey’Dez Green eventually force double teams with LSU’s 4-WR Set?

Last night we saw a slick formation: four WRs stacked on one side, with 6'7 Trey’Dez isolated on the other. He ran a simple route, walled off the defender with his huge frame and caught the game winner.
If him and Nuss really get dialed in, jump ball throws could be a nightmare for defenses. What do we think of the potential here?

He is potentially uncoverable at his size with his hops

freak athleticism and huge frame
it's all up to his hands right now

Well unless there’s a 6’7 DB I think it’s pretty much unstoppable and if they overcommit to him just throw the screen to the stacked WR’s

frick it Green is down there somewhere. Let the 6’7 beast Moss em.
Isolated, you can either throw him the fade or a simple slant or fake the fade and go slant. Take advantage of his size.

This formation is called the "Oopty oop". Jonathan Moxon tried to run it for Kilmer's Coyotes back in 1998, but Kilmer was a lot like Les miles.
Joe Sloan watched Varsity Blues Friday night, and said "let me try that with 6'7 Tre'Dez". And it worked.

he did draw PI penalties a couple of times because the DB/LB couldn't compete

If he works on his hands, Green could be the next Megatron. With that size/athleticism, he could be uncoverable.

Clemson DBs did a good job hand fighting and pushed the envelope on holding/PI with him. Sometimes DBs will get away with that and sometimes they won’t. He has to be more physical off the ball of find some way into space, otherwise he loses the ability to get off the ground.
He is still developing and is unquestionably a weapon, I his potential has yet to be fully recognized.

Well thank you sir. A week 1 win even made the Rant a nicer place.
