My question on the non OPI on Clemson’s first 4th down conversion

Sure, the ball was caught behind the LOS which was the correct call.. but what about the WR taking out our CB who was running directly perpendicular to him?
With the huge emphasis on eliminating the “illegal” blindside block in football, I can’t understand how that got totally missed. And I’m not really a fan of the rule, but with how technically that game was called you would think an obvious personal foul would get flagged.

I thought the same thing. Who cares he was behind the line. It was a pf for a blind side.

Definitely was a block in the back. There were several throughout the game.

The non-call on intentional grounding was more egregious. As was the blown TD call, of course.

Refs ignoring the intentional grounding was maybe the worst. They should have discussed it and then thrown the flag.

That is the one that really makes me think sports betting among officials is a thing. That call was a no brainer.
