It’ll probably be someone that isn’t yet viewed as the elite of elite picks.

Would be pretty bummed if we were that bad and end up with someone half brain dead like Nuss.

I mean he is playing possibly the best defense in college infront of what 80-100k fans on the road…

I can’t help but bet something on clemson and the under tonight.

What?

Nuss is an extremely smart QB. His issue is that he trusts his teammates too much and expects perfection. Which in turn gets him in trouble quite often. That is fixable imo once you’re surrounded by 50 other professionals.

St Aug, you have become a miserable Saints fan since Drew retired. Now it’s spilling over to LSU.

Please criticize your teams. But don’t be a douche about it.

Arch is still young. He needs playing time.

Using this boards standard Arch sucks. He's never won a game

Eh. They’re full of below average players, unlikable ownership, etc. it’s a dogshit organization. Come here more out of habit than anything when looking at other boards. Fandom has largely been replaced with that of my own kids activities, so all my delusional positivity goes there I think. Call it as I see it with the saints, and it’s as bad as any organization in the league.

Living far enough removed from the homerism, you see just hope rotten this team is.

And Ive never liked Nuss . The guy had never seen an open patch of grass he wanted to run through or a deep sideline route he didn’t want to launch it over.

I’m literally in your same situation and mind set.

I’m just not a bitter fan anymore. I bitch and yell during games but move right along afterwards win or lose. Back in our early days on Saints talk… a loss ruined my week. It was stupid how we acted.

I see all the shite that the Saints are.

I just look at the positives more these days. If not I’d be a literal “fanatic” as I am approaching 50 yrs old.

2006-2011 was an insane run in Nola. I can die happy knowing I was there for every second of it bc I suffered thru the 80s and 90s.

the No Call changed everything for me. I walked out of the dome that day and just knew we have no control any longer.

What?

Neither one of them are worth a top 15 1st rd pick. The only reason people are saying they are is because (1) plays for LSU and (1) is from Louisiana. This is a terrible QB draft class. Bunch of figs hung up on some Louisiana pride bullshite. Its like a weird life fulfilling fantasy for some of you. Try to judge talent from an unbiased lense and stop having a weird Louisiana obsession.

They aren't going to frick y'all.

Didn't realize Todd McShay, Mel Kiper, And Daniel Jeremiah were from Louisiana.

Who knows, but there are a lot more potential 1st round QBs right now than this time last year. Field Yates projected 6 QBs in the 1st round in his recent mock. Probably wont happen, but if even 3 of those possibles work out, it'll be a good year to be picking high if you want a QB.

Arch needs another year. Regardless if he settles in and has a great season after today.

Nuss is going to prove you wrong.

Also. If Nuss stays healthy and plays every game this season he will be the all time greatest QB at LSU in the record book for passing.

He will be first in passing yds.
He will be first in passing TDs if he throws 37 tds this yr. If not, then he will be 2nd
He already has the 2nd most passing yards in a single season
Likely 3rd in comp% all time
He will end up in the top 3 or 4 in wins

You serious, Clark? 1) It’s too early to say that. 2) Sellers, Nussmeier, Klubnik, Allar, Iamaleava and Leavitt all have a chance to be top QBs draft picks.

I’m with you there. That run was incredible…especially if you suffered through the 80-90s. And yep at 50+ and after the no-call….i lost interest in a rigged game. Couldn’t watch that Superbowl and just watch Saints games passively.

Maybe now Mickey will only give up three 1st to move up to take him…..

Two 1st if the Saints have the 1st pick….

Prove me wrong about what? He very well could do ok in the NFL and probably has more upside than Arch or Klubnik. And all 3 of those guys very well could get drafted in the 1st rd with other QB's. None of those dudes are in any way "special" talents and are not worth a top 15 pick > skill positions.

There are lots of people here that just hate him. He's a Manning, his arms stronger than Peyton, with the athleticism of a TE. That was a hell of a situation Saturday and even though he mostly played like crap he almost pulled it out. Nuss is DEFINITELY better as of now but Arch will be a great pro prospect
