Anyone watch the Katrina documentary on Netflix?

It's mostly well done, but the bullshite racial crap kind of ruined it for me.
Claiming that the "politicians" (who were mostly black and all Democrats) blew up levees to flood the black neighborhood and save the white neighborhoods.
It presents that ridiculous story, but no mention of the mostly white neighborhoods in Lakeview, etc. which had 8 feet plus of flood water.
If you didn't know better, you would think that Katrina and the levee breaches selectively only flooded black homes.

I watched the first two of three eps and fast-forwarded through most of the third. Honore was one of the only bright spots in the entire thing. The third ep was 99% communist drivel.
Eta: Spike (ep 3 is his) should’ve just played the Saints v Falcons in first game back in Dome. The end.
Also, I don’t recall a single mention of the MS coast. At all. Maybe on a brief news clip.

I watched the first two episodes last night. Infuriating. The only white person in the whole thing was one who was pregnant with an AA boyfriend. You'd think NOLA was only AA and only the 9th ward flooded with the superdome and convention center being the only places that mattered.
Also, they got the date of the storm wrong too, they have aug 30 in the documentary. total trash.

Don't forget the one white guy on the Westbank who went to jail for shooting someone.
They stressed over and over how black people didn't loot or commit any crimes in the aftermath of the storm, but then went out of their way to highlight the one white bad actor.

Netflix Documentaries are pretty much shite as general rule. I quit watching them.

Based on the director, I think you could have guessed the narrative. It was not poorly done, just biased.
I would like to see a documentary about MS. I know several people that lived along the coast and their stories are insane.

I thought the first two episodes were nicely done and not too heavy on the liberal BS...but then episode 3 came and I turned it off...Climate Change BS, racial crap, just got annoying and ruined what could have been a decent documentary.

Watched first episode so far. I like it
However, The guy who complained that they put them on the field (the largest area of flat surface) and also complained how they were organized and placed people in seats based on group size to maximize space - only to compare all of that to packing people in slave ships (like he had personal experience with it) was uber-cringy

I started to watch it and made it through about 15 minutes before some black guy started some race baiting bullshite and I turned it off

They are rewriting the narrative of the storm. Young people who watch this doc are taking it as literal fact. Given the push to forgo developing critical thinking skills among our youth, in another few years, after the generation that experienced Katrina has passed, the storm will be another tool in the liberal toolbox to promote their agenda. (Where have we seen this before?)

Watched the first ep and most of the second. It just makes me too mad. Half the country is going to watch this and take it as fact that New Orleans was a vibrant and crime free Wakanda prior to Katrina, and then if it hadn't been for evil white people, they would have all gotten out safe and sound with no problems. Acting like the post storm city was a completely peaceful place full of innocent black families just trying to feed their children while the evil whites shoot at them because of rAciSm is insane. Documentaries and media reporting like this is a huge part of why race relations are so bad today. It's completely dishonest.

The older black man whose 3 year old granddaughter drowned called her Shania in episode 1 and called her Shanae in episode 3. Then it was spelled different on her memorial headstone he had in his yard, and spelled another way on the show’s captions. I’m not sure anyone knows what the sweet girl’s name actually was.
