What are the rules for who gets Secret Service protection? I know Presidents have it for life, but who else and how is that determined?

Before everybody gets their vaginas in a wad.. she is only qualified to have secret service protection SIX months after last day in office. SIX MONTHS - after six months, she is on her own. It has been like that for decades.

Kamala did not hold up her oath to the Constitution for not removing a sitting President knowing the mental condition of "Joe Biden" during those four years we experienced.
Everything about those four years were crime ridden to destroy every principle of our Republic. She is just as complicit as each and every other cabinet member of that seditious and treasonous administration. Stripping her of her secret service detail should have been done on Day 1.
