According to Pete Thamel, this was originally listed as an Unsportsmanlike penalty. That doesn’t have a carry-over suspension. That is how it was officially recorded. But the officials supposedly clarified that the suspension was for fighting, which does. It’s bullshite. How it’s listed should be upheld, even if they screwed up. I’m sure that was LSU’s understanding of the situation and it’s crazy to just flip it now because Clemson narced.

I hate to be that guy bit what could they do to lsu if he did play? I mean teams got a slap on the wrist and fine for stealing signs. They can't even govern the sport as is with the way conferences have power and the nil stuff now.
