This stuff is rampant in my yard right now. I’d like to throw down a granular if there is such a thing? Anyone know? I do have a liquid that I can broadcast with a backpack sprayer but I don’t find it super effective unless I spot spray each patch. Too big of a yard to catch every patch like a broadcast would. Any ideas?

I have the same thing this year. I think I will wait to treat mine, because I don’t want there to be large patches of bare ground through the winter.

I had it really bad in the early spring. I used the Cleggs Cocktail mixture and procedure that is recommended on this forum. My centipede has managed to start taking over the dead spots where the lespedeza once thrived. But, the cooler soil temps were key to it working according to the instructions.

I have seen some small spots where it is starting to grow and will spot attack this weekend, weather permitting

If you must go granular, then atrazine would be your most readily available option, though I wouldn’t apply it with temperatures still exceeding 90 F, as you may damage the centipede.

I did this before greenup in the spring and can't find any of that crap. I'll be doing it every year now as this have been my most stubborn weed at this house.

Spray celsius if it’s too hot for atrazine

You are low on nitrogen. Fertilize a little and the lespedeza and clover will be gone.
