I’m not sure that I can remember a faster offense heading into the season

Looking at the skill positions, this seems to be a year with the most speed across the board amongst the offensive playmakers:

Barion Brown
Chris Hilton
Aaron Anderson
Trey’dez Green
Caden Durham
Kaleb Jackson
Nussmeier

I can name individual players that may have been faster at each position through the years, but I don’t remember this much speed spread out amongst the starters across the board for a single LSU team. Has there been a group that has been faster, top to bottom?

Certainly not with a great QB throwing to them

2019 had some burners and obviously a phenomenal qb but Jets, despite the name, isn’t crazy fast. He was quick out of breaks and is an incredible route runner

You left off Harlem Berry. He is also a speedster who is going to touch the ball a few times a game. Now not sure that he gets the ball against Clemson but he will see a few touches a game for the majority of the season.

4.43 at the combine. That’s pretty dang fast.

+ Berry/ zavion
- nuss (who has improved his speed in off-season for sure) / jackson (dudes a mule when going down hill, but wouldn't call him fast.. Hopefully we get to see his speed more this year doing more with his carries)

These’d nutty kids today don’t understand that 4.4 is still world class speed.

I believe he ran track in HS, so he isn’t slow. He even admitted this offseason that he got too heavy last year and it negatively affected his play and slowed him down. He said he was really focused on trimming down a bit and getting his quickness back to where it needs to be.

Love to hear it. He just needs to run to green vs the other jersey. He struggles in those zone run plays to find the holes to bounce too. And even the few times he gets to 2nd level, he wants to kill the defender... which hey we all love a rb rolling a defender, but he needs to see angles and run to green, get more yds on his carries too. He can be both ... really hope he puts it together. Durham/ Jackson/ berry can provide a heck of a backfield for the qb/ oc to work with.

There’s been talk of more counter plays being added. I would like seeing Jackson running these to a spot with a puller more than running zone and having to try and find a hole. I would also like to see them run Jackson in some Pistol looks as well to get him moving to the hole before he gets the handoff.

This team will live and die by its offensive line.

Added bonus…LSU dbs should be experienced with angles and not letting receivers behind them.
