Going with a group this weekend for a bachelor party, playing Tobacco Road, No. 3, The Cradle, and Pine Needles.

Looking for dining and drinks recs, not staying at Pinehurst resort but about 5 minutes away. Also looking for best spot to watch the game Saturday.

TIA

There’s a bar in downtown that you have to walk down a flight of stairs from the street level to get into. That place was fun. The piano bar at the hotel (not the Carolina…the other one).

ETA: Dugans and the Tavern at the Holly Inn.

Pinehurst Brewing Company is good. Villager Deli for sandwiches if it works with your golf schedule. The Deuce at Main Clubhouse is decent bar fare. Drinks at Pinecrest Inn in the Village can be fun-not sure if patio will be open- but it seems to attact the "locals" which can be fun. And of course Ryder Cup Lounge at the Carolina Hotel is one of the best places to soak in the atmosphere. In past couple years, they have added fire pits outside and expanded it. Hope you get great weather for your trip.

Only time I played Pinehurst (#2 and #4), we were down during Super Bowl weekend.

They had a Super Bowl party in the hotel restaurant. Tables of all kinds of great food, drinks, TVs... There were a bunch of guys hanging out and we all had a great time.

We played it in 2014, the same year the US Open was there. We attended the US Open that year. Boring finish. Kaymer blew the field away.

Thanks everyone, any recommendation on which spot would be the best for the game?

How big is your group? Less than 8, Pinehurst Brew Co but the tv situation isn't the greatest. I'd scope it out first if you think it would work for you guys. Middle bar is elite when they have the windows open.
If you want a more sports bar spot I would recommend Hickory Tavern, its effectively a BWW with 50+ screens.

We have 8, sounds like Hickory Tavern will be best

Subtle 'i can afford to eat out at restaurants' brag.

I would also highly recommend getting a cigar and a big glass of wine from the Ryder Cup at the Carolina Hotel and sitting in a rocking chair in the patio.

I just got back from Pinehurst yesterday. It's incredible. We played 2, 4, 8 and 10. We stayed at the Holly. The bar there is OK. Nothing special.

The cradle was a cool experience. We played shoeless and sipped on some Transfusions. They have a frozen transfusion that I heard was very good.

I remember Dugan's from when I was there in 2015. It was a cool place.

I made a hole in one on course #8. Pretty special time.

Try Valenti’s (about 10 miles out of town), Chatman’s and Bell Tree Tavern. Daughter/son-in-law live near Pinehurst so we eat at these places regularly.

Also, we watched one of the LSU games at Kickback Jacks. They had the game on most of screens that night.

The wife and I had lunch at Chapman's Food and Spirits in Southern Pines last Sunday. Pretty good Bacon Jam burger.

How was Tobacco Road? I got to play there earlier this year and really enjoyed it.

Didn't play Tobacco. We only played Pinehurst courses.
