This was an interesting post to me (I am a woman, was in college in the 90’s ). I honestly didn’t know that sexual exclusivity was still an expectation in 2025. And I say that as a parent of a teen girl to whom I preach to keep her knees together. Her body and her heart are valuable. You don’t throw that shite at any fricking broccoli headed, pimple faced stoner that walks out of Fred’s

It’s interesting because I feel that young girls are pressured by the hookup culture/modern women’s liberation to sleep around.. but men still really want someone sexually conservative for a long term partner. I’m not sure young women are receiving this message or surely they would be reining it in, no??? Trust me when I say that the majority of the slutty girls are doing so because they feel this is the expectation, not because they are raging horn-dogs who are liberated from sexual norms and simply acting upon their own desires.

It gives me hope that men still value some version of chastity.

Perhaps TMI: I was 19 when I met my now husband. My body count was and is still 1. 34 years together.
