Everything you buy is for the jingle
Every time you lie, it's all the same
Ooh, and if you need a rhyme to kill the singer
Shoot me dead before I may be through

Sunshine is one of their GOAT songs and I will die on this hill.

Might as well get the whole album in.

Except it wasn't.
Grunge wasn't even a thing when Facelift came out.
Facelift is a mix of Sludge and Glam riffs.

Blead the Freak- what a song

Jerry Cantrell doesn't even consider AIC, grunge and this isn't breaking news.

I remember the first time I saw the Man in the Box video on MTV...I think they were both metal and alternative when they came out.
Not nearly as good as Dirt, but really good.
Alice in Chains were never grunge to me...they were metal, but whatever they were they kicked arse.
My 17 year old loves them now which makes me happy.

We Die Young is such a great opening track. You know what you are going to get from Facelift in the first 20 seconds.

It’s up there for me.

I know, it drives me crazy.
You can say the Thrash bands sound similar. Groove Metal bands sound similar. Prog, same. Classic Rock, same. At least Nu Metal outside of Korn had turntables in common, plus Hip-Hop influences.
Pearl Jam, AIC, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and some laughably add STP sound nothing alike.
And this isn't a slight toward STP, them and AIC are my favorites of that time frame. Its just funny how some call them Grunge, when the DeLeo brothers are straight up Hard Rock songwriters.

I still put Dirt a notch above, but it’s really close. Facelift has held up remarkably well, imo.

I don’t generally disagree with much and share stp/aic as my own favorites too…
But try not to be too much of a nerd about it.

Maybe so. Didn't they recently have an insignificant things that make us irrationally angry thread. Maybe i should add my gripe to that.
