There’s a new congressional district map for Missouri circulating that was produced in Washington, D.C. But a top Republican said Wednesday that she’s been unable to get a look at it.
Jennifer Bukowsky of Columbia, vice chair of the Republican State Committee, said she expects a special session of the Legislature to be called after there is agreement between the Trump White House and the Republican National Committee on how to revise current boundaries.
President Donald Trump and his political advisers are pushing Missouri to join Texas in redrawing districts to favor the GOP. Any proposal is likely to split the 5th District, which is mainly in Kansas City, by adding Republican voters in sufficient numbers to take it away from incumbent U.S. Rep. Emanuel Cleaver.
That would give Republicans seven of the state’s eight seats in the U.S. House instead of the current six.

The pertinent question is where is there more low hanging fruit to gain House power. No leaf should be left unturned if we truly want to see the traitors in DC held to justice.
And don’t think this won’t put fear in the RINOS in the Senate as well. There is a lot of profiteering and conspiracy collusion going on that could surely be construed as crime if such were to be examined closely. Many in that Senate knew damn well what was happening with Muh Russians Hunter’s Laptop but winked and nodded. Cowardly or worse.

It’s probably too late. By the time it gets through the court systems it will be to late for the 2026 midterms
Need to be careful on how it goes forward through the courts. The Democrats could flip the process and make a nonpartisan panel pick how to draw the districts. A few years ago Missouri voters passed an amendment that said a nonpartisan group would draw the Congressional districts, but the state legislator found a way to overturn it.
A nonpartisan group could cause the GOP to lose the 2nd Congressional district outside of St Louis. In 2018 (R) Ann Wagoner won by less than 15,000 votes and in 2020 less than 29,000. The St Louis metro is broke up into 4 of the states 8 seats. If a nonpartisan group drew the St Louis metro into 2 seats that could give a big edge to the Democrats. This could cause the Democrats to gain a seat instead of losing one.
This might be why there hasn’t been a big backlash from the Missouri Democrats. They could have a plan

Honestly there is little point to vote in MO since the legislature overturns the will of the voter on practically everything.

If they want to lock in the House majority for 2026, the Republicans will need more states to redistrict if Gavin is successful. If Gavin can squeeze five more dem seats to match TX, then Missouri's gain of only 1 seat isn't much of a cushion. Ohio, SC, FL and any other Republican state better be ready to redistrict or this will be all for nothing, and it'll be another coin flip in 2026 for control of the House.

It's only 1 seat, but LA was just forced to get creative to create a 2nd Dem seat.

When states are not allowed to count votes for days or even weeks after elections you will see a change in House seats, to the red.

I'm getting really fricking annoyed with that fruit that keeps trying to block the sports betting stuff.

Ohio has to be approved by a supermajority. If a supermajority is not met it is drawn by an outside commission. Florida is set by a joint resolution and can’t be vetoed by the governor

Gerrymandering is bad for both sides. It happens in almost every state. A nonpartisan commission should draw the lines in every state.
A person that lives close to Branson, Mo shouldn’t be represented by someone living 25 minutes south St Louis. Someone living 30 minutes north St Louis shouldn’t be represented by someone living over 5 hours away in Northwest Missouri. The way the lines are drawn now if you live in Winfield, Mo you are represented by Sam Graves from Tarkio, Mo. If you are from Winfield you live closer to 37 other Congressmen than you do Congressman Graves. . The other 7 Congressmen in Missouri, 15 of the 17 in Illinois, 6 from Indiana, 3 of the 4 from Iowa, 2 from Tennessee, 1 from Kentucky, and 1 from Arkansas.
The state legislature has already gerrymandered the current Congressional districts. It’s going to be hard to make it worse
