How much do you weigh? Seems to be a rule that Blue Wave owners gotta be fat as frick

Great boats though. Only fished the 24. Would recommend even in some rough chop.

Personaly I'd be steering away from Bluewave right now given they're out of business, last I'd heard, so you'd get no dealer/builder support if needed.

But if you can get a killer deal..........

Rodger on that. If you don’t care bout the warranty on the hull you can get a great deal on a used Bluewave right now. I looked at a 26’ last month and they wanted 115000 for a boat. Last week same boat was 75,000..
warranty does not transfer to new buyer.

I havent seen one in person, just pictures. Looks like a good layout. Not really concerned on the warranty.

I think overall they're solid boats, had good reputation. If you can get a decent deal, roll with it.

This time of year is more and more a buyer's market as each warm day slips by toward fall.

My urge for a 32 contender is getting extremely difficult to fight off.

Fish out of the Blue Wave 2800 hybrid and absolutely love it. Bigger boat for sure but fishes like a big bay boat. Great layout.

New mule 1000s and new Bluewaves, damn son you won the lottery?

I saw they have a nice condo at Hurricane Hole listed if you're looking to upgrade.

Blazer Bay bought all of the molds from the bankruptcy but not sure if they are going to run with the 2600. You might call them and ask, maybe they will tell.
The blue waves I have run were fast and dry but I know of one that delaminated recently and it wasn’t a new hull.
Wish I would’ve taken a pic of the port side delamination, it was awful. I’m trying to buy parts off it once owner scraps it.

Blazer added the old Bluewave hulls to their bay boat section.

Now that you say that…it does appear the majority of blue wave owners are husky or larger

I know most people on here will disagree, but you do not need a 26ft bay boat. You can probably get by with a 20-22ft boat to fish near and inshore.

Wtf???

They BUY molds now? Seems paying for a hull would go against their business model?

With 2 kids under 12 who fish and 4 rods constantly being used approx 25+ trips a year… I disagree with you. I have a 22’ and its like sardines in that bitch.

Yep, them actually purchasing and not pirating is unusual. They probably didn’t want the bankruptcy court aka Feds on their arse.

Youre raising them wrong. You gotta make them kids speck fish out a 15' tiller handle rig that may or may not get you home until their old enough to appreciate how nice a 20'+ boat with a functional engine is.

Im pretty sure they just shifted their business to Blazer Boats, because they owned both brands. You should be able to file warranty claims through them. Blue Wave filing for bankruptcy wasn't because of slow business, they were doing fine. It had something to do with building their factory on Indian land in Oklahoma and all of a sudden owing back tax incentive money after a transfer of ownership. Thats what a dealer told me. All of their models are now listed as Blazer Bay boats on their website.
