Back in the day, Sega Genesis was awesome. Games you couldn't find on Super Nintendo. Mortal Kombat had the blood in Sega's version. Sonic, Shining Force, Phantasy Star.

I didn't get a Sega CD, but I did get a 32X as a birthday present. Man, did it suck! And they released it when the Saturn was only 6 months away, and the Playstation was coming.

Who else fell for it and what did you think of it? One of the strangest consoles ever.

I got the Sega CD back in the day, but not the 32X. I remember it came with Sewer Shark and I still remember the FMV intro where dude kept calling you "dog meat."

i had it. it indeed was pretty bad.

i had the whole genesis, cd, 32x monster combo. this bad boy was sitting in my room. The genesis/sega cd was probably my all time favorite console. Was it the best? nah. But i love it anyway.

It’s funny, I had a Genesis back in the day and had no idea the 32x existed until a few years later when we got the internet at my house.

I knew about the Sega CD though. I remember them really going hard on the marketing for it and I wanted the Sonic game lol.

I had the genesis but never got any of the other add-ons or follow up consoles. As a kid I was always so confused about all the various hardware products that Sega was putting out.

Sonic CD was good. I have it on one of those Sonic Mega Collections for PS2

Love Sewer Shark. I still play it from time to time. I am a sucker for those old Sega CD FMV games like SS, Ground Zero Texas, Tomcat Alley, etc...

They were always very inventive with their tech.

I still remember it being the coolest thing ever when Sonic and Knuckles came out and you could attach a cartridge on top of it.

I had Sega CD and it sucked arse too. The Genesis started to look like some Frankenstein creation with all the shite bolted onto it.

My older brother hand a Sega CD and a 32x.

Both systems had "some" good games. The Sega CD had enough to justify its existence I think. the 32x maybe not so much.

It does have arguably the best home version of Virtua Fighter and the 32x port of MK2 is much better than the Genesis version.
