Blue states and cities are going full “states’ rights” over sanctuary status

Welp, let’s see how this turns out.
quote:
Boston Mayor Michelle Wu held a raucous press conference in Beantown on Tuesday, daring Attorney General Pam Bondi to follow through on her letters to blue-city leaders threatening federal action over sanctuary city policies.
quote:
"This has always been a city of revolution, of innovation, of standing up for the public good and never bowing down to tyranny. With me today, our fellow public servants and veterans, public safety and faith leaders, civil rights advocates, and labor union members, teachers and business owners, entrepreneurs and artists, youth and seniors."
quote:
"Washington state has no intention of changing our values in the face of threats from the Trump administration," Ferguson said.
"The federal government’s relentless targeting of law-abiding immigrants is wrong."
Cook County, Illinois – which includes Chicago – as well as Philadelphia, New York and other sanctuary cities received the same document from Bondi.
quote:
"Connecticut is prepared to pursue all legal rights and remedies to defend our sovereignty and the people and families of Connecticut from federal overreach," Tong said.
quote:
In Philadelphia, the city’s attorney claimed to WCAU that America’s birthplace is not a "sanctuary" but a "welcoming city."
Welp, let’s see how this turns out.

Funny how they're picking a fight over an issue that the SCOTUS has already determined is a purely federal area.

People in this category have no concern. ICE is not coming for them.
They seem to be hallucinating that ICE is targeting the law abiding.

Bondi (Republicans) won't do anything.
They talk and that's it. See Texas.

They simply don’t care. Trump needs to shut them down the way Jackson shut down the Nullification Crisis.

This will work itself out. The immigrants will move to these cities and become a burden on the system. The virtue signalers will either suffer under it or cave. I don't really care either way. But no federal dollars to these cities!

quote:They don't care because they think Bondi and this Administration is full of hot air and threats. There are no repercussions to their actions, plain and simple. So, they carry on with their agenda's. Pam Bondi can write all the firm letters and make all the threats in the world, not one of these people take any more seriously than the MIA Dem's from Texas take Abbott right now.
They simply don’t care.

Does that mean they won’t take federal bailouts anymore? They need those every 4-6 years.

Every time I hear/read Beantown I think of Jim Rome. It bothers me.

Let's get some diversity at Alligator Alcatraz.
Throw Wu in.
Throw Wu in.

If one is here illegally, they are not law-abiding.

Too bad states don't have "rights" over FEDERAL border enforcement.

I think we fought a war over this and the states lost if I remember correctly

Trump needs to make this happen in an aggressive way. Make it clear that Boston, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis, LA, SF, Portland and a few blue cities to be named later will be the last priority for ICE while everywhere else is going to see a serious purge of illegals. Outside of 20 million illegals returned to their homes, nothing would be better for this shitshow than the biggest blue cities to drown with illegals.
