You can purchase all of Rhode Island, or 1% of Wyoming

I'd have to see the revenue stream associated with that. Sounds like a huge pain in the arse.

I could but don’t want to have to fight the Indian Reservation and all of the PE guys coming in to try and build an airport.

Oddly, I lived in Rawlins for 3 months. And just south of there, in Saratoga, for another 10. Some of the best times of my life.
Interestingly, they don't mention that the state prison is right on the other side of i-80...

I'd have to think about if thats worse than sweating my balls off in west texas.

Also didn't read if this is surface estate only or included minerals.

You rent a ranch for a week or a couple weeks.

Zero chance i would buy one. I’m gonna let someone else take care of it, me go enjoy it, and then leave and not have to worry about it

Beware the locals. They can be a mite tetchy.

quote:

The Johnson County War, also known as the War on Powder River and the Wyoming Range War, was a range war in Johnson County, Wyoming from 1889 to 1893.[3] The conflict began when cattle companies started ruthlessly persecuting alleged rustlers in the area, many of whom were settlers who competed with them for livestock, land and water rights. As violence swelled between the large established ranchers and the smaller settlers in the state, it culminated in the Powder River Country, when the ranchers hired gunmen, who invaded the county. The gunmen's initial incursion in the territory alerted the small farmers and ranchers, as well as the state lawmen, and they formed a posse of 200 men that led to a grueling standoff which ended when the United States Cavalry on the orders of President Benjamin Harrison relieved the two forces, although further fighting persisted.[8]
