I think Keegan goes chalk until pick 11.

Then I think he tales a flyer on Gotterup and maybe another rookie.

I am almost in complete agreement, but I think Keegan will take Young over McNealy.

I don't think Cantlay or Morikawa needs to be anywhere near this team.

Burns is an easy pick for me at Bethpage.

7. JT
8. Griffin
9. Morikawa
10. Burns
11. Young
12. McNealy

I’d be ok leaving Morikawa off honestly, but I think he makes the team. Keegan will have to decide between himself and one of Burns & McNealy.

Burns and young are both good course and team fits.

I am starting to lean Bradley not playing.

I would take Cantlay over Bradley. I don't necessarily think Cantlay is a lot better at the moment, but he has a good, recent Ryder Cup record, and, most importantly, he isn't responsible for leading the team. I'd rather Bradley focus on being captain. I just don't think he is that much better than the other options where having a half focused player is worth it.

He hasn't been great since his Travelers win, and I think him being great is what needed to happen for me to think he needs to be on the team.

I hope it’s this latter group. That’s a salty back 6 with a ton of scoring ability and all either playing well or super experienced Ryder Cup guys. Young’s distance and accuracy off the team and Burns putting alone should make those 2 shoe ins.

I’d take Keegan playing over Mcnealy. Mcnealy just doesn’t do it for me and Bradley is proven. His call end of the day.

I’d be willing to mix Gotterup in there too.

Morikawa needs to stay home. He sucks right now.

Bradley is 4-3. That's not awful, but not an overwhelming record. He also hasn't played in the last 4 Ryder Cups.

Based on some current odds I found online, it looks like JT, Morikawa, Griffin, and Cantlay are virtual locks for the team. That leaves two spots likely to be filled by two of the following three: Burns, Cam Young, and Keegan Bradley (depending on whether KB wants to play).

Current Odds:

• Collin Morikawa – 1/100
• Justin Thomas – 1/100
• Ben Griffin – 1/50
• Patrick Cantlay – 1/25
• Sam Burns – 1/2
• Cameron Young – 4/7
• Keegan Bradley – 4/5
• Brian Harman – 4/1
• Maverick McNealy – 5/1
• Kurt Kitayama – 6/1
• Chris Gotterup – 6/1
• Jordan Spieth – 7/1
• Bar – 12/1

Captains in past years have sometimes consulted with auto-qualifiers when making their final picks. It’ll be interesting to see if Keegan follows that same approach.

Keegan's play has cooled enough recently that there shouldn't be an issue for him to stick to full time captain. There would be an obscene amount of pressure on him to try and do both. I would love to see him playing, but if he wanted to go that route, he needed to turn down the captaincy.

If I'm calling the shots it's going ....

Auto: Scheffler, Spaun, Xander, Henley, English, Bryson
Picks: JT, Morikawa, Griffin, Burns, Young, McNealy

JT, Morikawa and Griffin should be locks. I think Burns and Young are perfectly matched for Bethpage, so I would take them next.

That leaves the last spot open between Keegan, Cantlay or McNealy. I think McNealy gets the nod, but there is always a chance that Xander lobbies hard to pair with Cantlay, or Keegan decides to pick himself.
