If they bring back Kenny Mayne I may watch it.

Mayne appeared on Sportscenter late last year to talk about his Wiffle Ball documentary and did one football highlight. It was better than anything Sportscenter has put out since he left in 2021.

This new crop of hosts have zero personality.

Would be funny if he did a feature on Barry Sanders

Some idiot years ago decided that people get highlights from YouTube and social media and sport center need to change to just talking heads. Stupidest idea ever. I'm mid 30s and everyone my age would wake up and go to bed watching highlights light the old days if that's what it was.

Just show NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and top 25 NCAAF/ NCAA B and some college baseball/softball highlights and call it a day.

ESPN could screw up a wet dream.

20 years? It's been 20 years? I see his picture on the left and just feel like I am a kid again. Then, I realize I am now 38 years old and had my 20th HS reunion in the spring. Sigh...

They are desperate. It’s indescribable how bad their broadcasting is today.

It's a completely different product now. It's not the anchors fault. I remember watching Sunday Night Primetime during NFL season religiously...waiting for the Saints highlights not knowing the order and you'd watch until your team. Now, you have Youtube to watch everything within minutes of the game. ESPN has been forced to change content with more dialogue and opinion-based verbiage to offer a different media experience.

Always funny when companies who have ruined their product due to their mind virus have to bring in their old white people to save their failing business.

Just like the final episode of Around the Horn being all the old farts who made the show and not any of their disgusting DEI panelists they had been using toward the end of the show’s run.

Wrong, they made the decision to get out ahead of it. They screwed up. Sport center was background noise for sports fans. No one wants background noise of idiots yelling at each other. That was a mistake they made.

If Sportscenter would go back to putting the Topics/Highlighrs on the sides, actually show highlights majority of the show, and have actual analysis versus debating “Should the Cowboys hire Prime or Belichek” every damn show.

Give me a dude or woman with a bit of humor and that can just read off what happened in the games that day and I’m satisfied. I loved Sportscenter as a kid
