Pretty clear that he will start the season as the QB. He’s just done a bit more and as someone that has started just has a little more going on.

Shough will watch and get his turn a few games in. Maybe game 5 or so.

If he’s not murdered by a blitzing linebacker, I say yes.

Yep

We are gonna take a while to get adjusted to the new offense and we are gonna SUCK in the meantime

And we have less invested in Rattler

No sense in burning Shough’s confidence and potential in the first few weeks of a lost season

Rattler is looking pretty good, but he hasn’t looked any better than what Shough did. He could definitely pull away over the rest of this game…..but I would say it’s pretty even.

Neither of them has really separated themselves honestly. That first throw to Tipton that drew the PI was a HORRENDOUS throw and should have been picked. If the corner is playing the ball AT ALL it’s a pick

Gotta keep giving Shough the Reins for the rest of the year… every single game… gotta know what you have in the player !!!

You have no other choice after your decision to spend the 40th pick on him.

No turning back now !!

Both are still relative unknowns, but I typically lean to starting the “vet” that way you still have the rookie with a potential higher upside to turn to later if after a few games Rattler is not having success. If Shough after not completely separating himself in camp starts and struggles after a few games, if you make a QB change then you are at risk of losing team & fam base because they aren’t typically as excited for the more “known” QB that couldn’t clearly beat out the rookie

Agreed, get through that gauntlet of the 49ers, the Seahawks, and the Bills and see what he does!!

If he does okay and the team has at least one win, I say stick with Rattler and let Shough learn on the bench.

If they felt they needed to do that they would've done it already since Haener is very replaceable. There definitely won't be any vet available that would help on the field but you would've wanted the vet for training camp too.

So was Shucks longest pass to Welch. Shitty throw was very fortunate was completed. That's a pick 9/10 times.
