Saints tried to move back into 1st rd to draft Dart… but the price was too high.
I heard Deuce McCallister state this on WWL radio during the draft.

Shough is geometrically better than Dart.

I liked him at 40. If we could have traded down from 9 and got him i would have been olay with that, but at 9 we had to get as sure of a thing as they could.

By a guy that was not worth the #9 pick and went 16 spots earlier.
Might as well say Saints should have drafted Campbell or Membou with their 1st pick if they wanted an OT (have not followed either in preseason so no idea how they are doing)

Yeah, a solid veteran would have been nice to have. Jamies, Teddy, anyone who has started games or been in the league more than a year or two.
