Southern Manners...I hope we never lose them

I posted a clip from this whole video not too long ago. But today the full video showed up on my feed and it's so much better. As a southerner that's traveled a bit, we catch a lot of shite. It's annoying. But most of the time, we can smile and just take a joke and laugh it off. It still stings a bit that because you have a drawl or roll your R's a bit that people think you're dumb. So, every now and again it's nice when foreigners come down here and really enjoy being around us folk.

Then why are most people on the board real dick bags? Im not saying this is real life at all but I dont think I have seen a rationale, good mannered person on this board.
And in real life I have dealt with my share of rudeness, especially in Tennessee

My experience is that most people are friendly, and usually the only difference between southern hospitality and the rest of the country is mam and sir.

I’ve traveled all over the country and by far and away the most friendly people are in the Midwest.

Kid in the red truck toward the beginning is from Starks/Toomy. They mention Orange so I’m guessing that was filmed on 109 south of I-10 headed toward the intercostal. Either there are on the Sabine where 90 ends where the old bridge burned years and years ago.

In my personal experience, southern hospitality is kind of a myth
Most places you go, 80% of most folks you meet - people are fine. Not exceptional, not awful, but fine. The top 10% are awesome everywhere I’ve been, and the bottom 10% are a nightmare wherever I’ve been. Doesn’t matter income level, region, race, sex, etc.
Southern people just usually have better food to offer
