A lot of red carpet rolling goin around for Clemson. A lot of folks gashing up their wr corps, calling Cade the best qb in the country, saying how they have multiple first rounders.

Seems a lot of the media is acting like Clemson winning week 1 is a done deal and why wouldn’t they right ? We have an opening game losing streak and Clemson has a bunch of returning pieces. This is a statement opportunity and program defining game for Brian Kelly. This team has to go into their hungry, pissed off and play with purple and gold swagger. I wholeheartedly believe we are the deeper team and have the pieces to go there and do it. . Games like dis are why you come to LSU hopefully the guys go into Clemson hungry and embracing the underdog mentality.

It doesn’t matter. It’s all on if BK figures out how to beat teams with an actual pulse. All falls on him

I'll say the loud part out loud. Clemson is overrated.

Their Locked On guy was talking about how Kade threw for 4 TDs in their scrimmage. He went 5/10 for 4 TDs. That tells you nothing. IDK if it was vs the 1s or 2s. If it was 1s, they have a major issue to fix. Probably 2s.

stay with me here for a second. Clemson lost last year to Ga the opening week 34-3. Clemson lost in 2023 opening game to Duke, 28-7. Clemson has lost 3 out of last 4 openers, with the last two being absolute blowouts. So maybe, that is why it should not be a done deal?

both teams are pre-season top 10

Clemson is favored by 3 or 4, AT HOME. Would be pretty much a wash at a neutral field. No one really knows anything. If anything, this is just standard respect for both teams.

They are favored because they are at home. If the game were in BR, LSU would be the slight favorite.

At the same time LSU finished the year unranked and there is a decent amount of hype about them

It's practice. So it really tells you nothing.
He's going to be a good QB. I don't think he's going to win the heisman. I don't think he's going to he the #1 draft pick.

But he's going to throw for 3,500+ yards and 35+ tds. That's nothing to snuff your nose at.

Defensively, they're not going to be elite. This line that's supposedly full of 1st round picks... I doubt it.

But they'll probably be somewhere in the top 30-ish overall defenses (assuming they improve SUBSTANTIALLY from a year ago).

Like I said, they'll be a good football team when the dust settles. But this top-6, national title hopeful love they're getting is a bridge way to far.

I love the underdog role and think this serves us well..I would rather be the "hunter, than the hunted!" ...Just one man's opinion!

Media hype is strictly for fans. Lol

For the team it’s all about preparation and execution.
