Beaudette was released yesterday. It looks like the Sheriff’s office arrested the wrong person.

I unfortunately know of the person who hit the kid. Feel awful for the guy wrongly accused and publicly shown as the driver.
Edit: I believe witnesses said it was a silver suburban or similar but it was a different make/model. Woman that hit the kid has a history. Very sad for the family of the boy. Lady is a POS

That’s a long time to be locked up for something that serious and knowing full well you are innocent, that would have been the time to go full retard.

Need to update OP, Cody is innocent and should be suing the shite out of St Tammany Parish. Thrown in jail for days, tarnished his reputation, harassed his pregnant wife. Typical government goons.

St. Tammany Parish: Negligence or Cover Up?
On August 13, 2025, six-year-old Jeremiah Ramirez was riding his scooter in his driveway on Northshore Lane in Slidell, Louisiana. Tragically, Jeremiah was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, and he later died from his injuries.
At the same time Jeremiah was out riding his scooter, parents were headed to Northshore High School for a mandatory cheer meeting. Cody, his wife and their young daughter attended the meeting.
Law enforcement quickly zeroed in on Cody as their suspect. After the meeting concluded, Cody, his pregnant wife and young daughter went to Walmart and were detained/arrested in the Wendy’s parking lot. He was charged with vehicular homicide, fatal hit and run, and driving while intoxicated. Cody’s wife was also reportedly apprehended and questioned, but was released later that same evening.
It has been reported that investigators had access to surveillance video that cleared Cody as early as August 20, but still kept Cody behind bars. Sources report that even after his bond was set at $75,000 through an undocumented emergency bond hearing, the jail reportedly refused to release him when a bondsman attempted to post bail.
Meanwhile, sources say authorities have been in possession of a vehicle with right passenger side fender damage since last week - and it isn’t Cody’s.
Yesterday, Cody was finally released on a property bond that took two days to process, according to those close to the investigation.
Cody’s sister Jordyn worked tirelessly to uncover evidence to prove his innocence and there is overwhelming evidence that another individual is responsible for this.
Now, questions remain: was this negligence, or a deliberate cover-up?
*Edited the date to August 20, which is when evidence of Cody’s innocence was presented.

I would be downright maniacal if I were ole baw. Unreal and almost intentional negligence on LEO part.

Too bad he didn't beat the shite out of a white infant in a daycare. He never would have spent a minute in jail.

Was Cody intoxicated when the pulled him over? A lot about this story isnt making sense.
Why did the ‘zero in’ on Cody in the first place?

Simply put, dude was driving a similar color suv, he was spotted, and when they identified he had a suspended license they went all in.
I don’t think it was a conspiracy. Reactionary assumptions? Probably
