Realistically, how many receivers should be in the regular rotation?

We obviously have more WR's on our roster that are talented, than we have game reps to give them. It would seem that trying to play too many would make it more difficult for Nussmeir to establish timing with all of them. In the end our coaches will decide the best path forward but it would seem getting the balance right will be a challenge.

5 maybe 6 at most. I think 4 get the majority of the reps with the 5th and or 6th getting just a couple of snaps each game.

5 this year.
One of Parker, Hill, & Watkins can be the 6th guy

Parker will definitely play. He's been practicing with the 1s. He also started wk 1 last year iirc

I'm not as concerned with how many get on the field each game.
But I'd like to see the same personnel on the field for as many consecutive plays as possible. Don't change guys out mid-drive if possible.
ETA: This feels like the fastest collection of WRs we've had. So many track guys and return guys. Feels like every guy on the roster can fly.

I just don’t know how much action Parker gets over Brown (Sr.), Aaron Anderson, Nic Anderson, Hilton (Sr.), or Thomas (Sr.).

You're going to see Hilton, Aaron Anderson, Barion Brown, Kyle Parker, and Nic Anderson get rotated in consistently. Probably with Kyle Parker and Nic Anderson seeing the least amount of reps.
You're going to see Trey'dez Green used more than some of the receivers in the redzone due to his freakish ability and how he presents a major matchup nightmare for any defensive player.
Hilton, Aaron Anderson, Barion Brown, Trey'dez Green, Kyle Parker, and Nic Anderson will also see significant playing time and see plenty of opportunities to get the ball.
Zavion Smith is going to be a jack of all trades and used in the pass and run game so there might not actually be a 1000 yd receiver on this years team even though Nuss could throw for 5000 yds. That actually makes it very difficult on the defense because they are not going to just be able to line up to take 1 or 2 players away. They are going to have to make a decision on who to allocate more defenders to and then Nuss will choose his matchup and go there.
Not to mention that the running game is going to be opened up because of all the weapons in the passing game and the ability for 3-4 guys to stretch the field at any moment won't allow for the safeties to play close to the line of scrimmage.
Going to be a really fun year offensively.

I'm with you. With both Andersons recovering from injuries I could see KP getting work early. It'll be fun to watch them compete for snaps

Parker has not passed Zavion Thomas on the depth chart

In no particular order here:
A. Anderson
Barion
Hilton
N. Anderson
Parker
Zavion
After that, there's a little room for a couple snaps per game for guys like Destyn, Billiot, Francis, and Watkins. If one of those 4 proves that they need to be on the field a decent bit, then I believe there's room for a 7th guy in the main rotation. Having 2 very good receiving tight ends hurts the snap share for WRs deeper on the list.

It's too bad that Billiot hasn't shown more so far.
I thought after a year in the program, he would show enough improvement to get some playing time as a backup receiver.

I did not put Zavion in the pure receiver category due to the way hes going to be used. hes been lining up in the backfield and in the slot and some outside and has had a very good camp as well. But again I was not putting him in just a receiver category like the others.

Nic Anderson is going to be one of the best WRs on this team and there’s a reason many scouts believe he is going to be a first rounder next spring. He’s going to get more playing time than y’all think.
