Blue Lights on BBC/HBO Max

Northern Ireland police drama that follows a group of cops during their probation period and the cops that are training them. I discovered this on HBO Max a couple days ago and after watching the first season I’d put it right beside Line of Duty as far as British police shows go. It’s two seasons with a 3rd season in production now, I highly recommend this if you’re into British TV.

I liked it. I don't think it's anywhere near the level of Line of Duty, but it's a solid show.

I get on a streak of binging British police shows from time to time. My main problem lately is that I’ve seen so many of the good shows, that I have to go way down the list of recommendations or take a chance on a new show, which has led to some disappointments.
I was not disappointed at all in Blue Lights. It’s a good show. I really enjoyed both seasons.

Endeavour is the best British police show I've seen. In fact it's probably my all time favorite television series. They do an amazing job of recreating that time period from the late 50s to early 70s in England with fantastic production values.

Good to hear. We watched the first season on HBO Max. When we went back recently to watch season 2, it was gone.
I then read that Blue Lights and 14 other Britbox shows were only on HBO for a two month special from August 1, 2025, to September 29, 2025.
