Thought Simpkins was impressive yesterday jumping in and playing the whole game.

Simpkins played center and guard in college, that would be a welcomed surprise. Good size, short arms but decent wingspan, slow times at the combine but good in the explosive drills.

To be honest, after he settled down a bit that 3rd string center actually looked pretty good at times.
Hopefully he doesn't need to start this year, but if he keeps progressing he could be a good fill in somewhere in the middle.

Clapp to IR, his season is done
Might need to look at some of these veteran OL who are still out there. I’d love to roll with the young rookies but at the same time we need to see what we have at QB, and they need protection.
Scherff is signing with Baltimore today it looks like, but shaq Mason, Dalton risner, Cody whitehair types are out there

Everyone hated Clapp when he was here years ago, but now that he's hurt its a season-ruiner for us
