What Happened to the SALT Challenge?

I looked back to see when this was supposed to take place, and found that today was supposed to be the day. What’s the word MDS? Are we doing this or not. You are in charge…

I thought that surely MDS was going to follow through with this. As hard as he fought to claim his title, it would only seem right that he would do what the victor is supposed to do and run the next challenge. Which, in looking back, was supposed to happen today.

I think that is pretty much the sentiment of the board. I will create a new SALT thread and whoever can submit can submit.

The challenge has been pretty much dead for a while. I understand the sadness for what it once was, but the majority of the old regular participants don't even post on this website anymore (or only rarely). The entire food board itself is fairly dead. I don't think there's mystery TD lurkers out there in the ether waiting to jump into it at this point. What you saw last time is what you'll get the next time, if not worse.
Anecdotally, I loved cooking and enjoyed creating things when it was at its peak, but I can't say I have any desire to participate now.

Well, with an ingredient like salt, you could basically post a picture of whatever you make for breakfast lunch or dinner. This one should be an easy one for people to participate in.
