This is similar to what yall thought about rattler last year when he played 85% of guys who won’t make their team

I don’t know if it’s “head and shoulders” right now, but it’s clear that he looks the part and has more potential. And even if it’s only even……you start Shough.

Remember when we had the week last season where Haener was head and shoulders better?

You realize like 98% of the people playing right now on both teams wont be the league in a few weeks.

No way of knowing either way. It’s pre season.

No reason to react either way to any of these games. Even if starters were playing, most staffs use vanilla schemes and aren’t game planning for the opponent in preseason, especially on defense.

The teams make money on these preseason games and that’s really the only reason they’re still being played.

I understand that completely but in just a half a game he looks better than Rattler.

Yes but after presaeson ill would not be shock if Jameis Winston or a Kurt Cousins isnt on this roster. Ill defense looks ok and looks like going in right direction. Shough needs a year behind some veteran.

And i would agree with that also. Flacco might get cut it could be him on the roster till Shough is good and ready

According to Locked on Saints and others reporting training camp it was like Rattler was clearly ahead. They either are looking with biased eyes or Rattler plays different when you have live action coming at him.

It better not be fricking Cousins cause ATL will want decent draft compensation back. But it's already too late for some veteran to move the needle for us anyway.

Would be malpractice to not find out what we have in Shough before next draft when we will have a chance to actually draft a top QB available.

It’s not even remotely close. Shough may never be anything, but he has starting NFL QB tools. Rattler doesn’t.

Shough is probably making more mistakes in camp but on raw ability is quite obvious who is better.

That’s quite the biased take. They are clearly playing 2 very differently called games with different objectives by Coach & QB.

Also Shough’s 1st series he had the benefit of having the defense in zone on 2min drill, but to his credit he did take advantage and make some plays after missing the long pass overthrowing Austin Jr. Shough had bigger highs & bigger lows than Rattler but neither did anything in my opinion to change the depth chart.

Also definite difference in pass protection, Rattler didn’t have much time whereas Shough actually had a chance to breathe a bit

Flacco is the only Browns qb with job security and we'd still suck if we had him.
